Are you looking for teen Halloween activities that will get your older kids into the spirit of the holiday? Teenagers are tricky when it comes to Halloween because some of your traditional activities are probably not as cool to them now as they once were. Even if your teen still likes to dress up in costumes, eat mountains of candy, and scare unsuspecting trick-or-treaters, they might not be up for many of the things you’re used to them enjoying. I put together this round-up of some teen Halloween activities that might help them get into the festivities a little more.

Many teens are so much different than younger kids when it comes to what you can get them to participate in. When your kids hit that age when they aren’t allowed to trick-or-treat anymore because they’re “too old,” most of the time you can still see that desire in them to do fun Halloween activities. With all the teen emotions, it’s hard to tell if your teen will be all in for these fun ideas or rolling their eyes at you. But from my experience, with a little enticing, you can still get teens involved in the festivities! You just might have to take a different approach. This list of teen Halloween activities includes all kinds of fun things to get your teens in the Halloween spirit.

Pumpkin carving and decorating is a great activity for teams! You can turn it into a competitive game for the family, at a teen Halloween party, or just give your teen the job of creating the best jack-o-lanterns to decorate the front entrance of your home for trick-or-treaters.

Halloween with teens can be a lot different than Halloween with small children, but there are plenty of fun and exciting activities that you can enjoy with your teenage kids as well. If you have both small children and teens, don’t worry, so many of these activities are great for finding a balance between doing big kid things and finding ways to include the little ones in activities that your teens will enjoy too!
