Oh, third baby. He just doesn’t get the one-on-one attention like his older siblings got, especially the first. You know how it goes, mamas. I’ve been worried he may be behind in learning words. Thank goodness we found the Priddy Books Early Learning Collection.
I received these books to review right around the time I was realizing I don’t spend much time one-on-one just trying to get Koa to speak. As the third child, he has a lot of people around to speak for him, do what he needs, and figure out what he wants. On the flip side, he also gets way less one-on-one attention because we’re so busy with homeschooling the older two, and he’s not quite preschool age yet.
I used to spend hours looking at books with Kai (my first) when he was a baby, and the same with Alana. We still read together nightly, but Koa is already asleep by then. So I was very thankful when I received these books from Priddy Books, and it reminded us to slow down and look through books with Koa daily.
He loves them! All day he is bringing me one of the books, climbing into my lap and pointing at all of the bright, colorful pictures.
The books are such great quality, with durable board pages, that I don’t have to worry about him tearing or ripping them. He carries them around, looks through them on his own, and loves that he can see himself in the mirror at the end of the See, Touch, Feel book.
Not only are the books visually interesting for toddlers and small children, but they have amazing textures that stimulate curiosity through sensory play. As an adult, I can’t even resist feeling all of the textures on each page as we flip through every single time.
You would think as a homeschool mom, I would already be teaching my toddler his numbers and basic sounds. But, nope. I have been so busy keeping my older two on track and running my business that it hadn’t really crossed my mind until we started looking through our Priddy Books collection. Now I’m so thankful for the ease of reviewing these things with him in a fun, relaxing way.
The Priddy Books collection also helps us meet and feel all of the cutest animals, build motor and vocabulary skills, discover matching and sorting, and build an overall love of books. In our house, we love books so this is super important to us.
In the My First Play and Learn Farm book there are even 28 reusable play pieces to match and sort. I’m telling you, these are the best books I’ve ever had for my toddlers.
Typical retail price for each book is as follows:
First 100 Numbers, $5.99
See, Touch, Feel, $12.99
Alphaprints: Colors, $9.99
Bright Baby: Touch and Feel Baby Animals, $4.95
My First Play and Learn Farm, $9.99
I hope you check out Priddy Books and get some for your little ones. They truly are impressive!
