I am going to share with you the best pre workout for breastfeeding moms, that I actually took before and after having all three of my kids!

When you are breastfeeding, it can be a little more difficult because you are still pretty restricted on what you can and can’t eat. You have to pay attention to labels almost as much as when you were pregnant and be careful about what you consume, especially before a workout. Your favorite pre-workout supplements that you used prior to becoming pregnant may not be safe to use while breastfeeding, but I have one that would be a great option for a breastfeeding mama. Finding a pre-workout with natural ingredients that also allows you to stay within your allowed caffeine intake can be a challenge.

Energize By Beachbody

When it comes to weight loss, pre-workout powders or drinks are a good idea because they boost energy levels which helps you push harder in your training session. I loved using this pre-workout when I was breastfeeding because I didn’t need to consume energy drinks to get that athletic performance I wanted with my workout, and it didn’t give me any negative effects. The ingredient list is super clean, and it also really helped with my mental focus, which improved my workout performance even more. I made it part of my daily routine before doing my workout for the day, and it really helped me get my confidence and healthy body back that I had pre-pregnancy!

Always consult your doctor when choosing the best pre-workout for you.

I do want to make it clear that even though I used this pre-workout during my pregnancies and breastfeeding, it may not be safe for everyone. Before you consume any pre-workout products, you should seek advice from your doctor during pregnancy and while breastfeeding to be sure it is a safe option for your specific needs. I cannot give medical advice, I am just sharing what has worked for myself and other pregnant women that I know personally. Also, remember that when you are breastfeeding, you want to make sure that you are consuming the extra calories needed for your milk production and energy levels.

Using a Pre Workout for New Moms

During your workout routine, especially when breastfeeding, you want to make sure that you have a stimulant-free option that is a safe supplement for your milk/baby and also that you take it in safe quantities. When you are calculating your caffeine consumption for the day, remember to count the milligrams of caffeine in your pre-workout, if it contains caffeine. Make sure that you are not only getting regular exercise but also that you are getting enough sleep as well to keep your mental health sharp and to get the best results. If you have a drop in your breast milk supply or any adverse effects, seek medical advice.
