How to Make the Best Party Veggie Pinwheels
These are so easy to make, and perfect for making ahead-of-time! Get the full recipe in the recipe card below. Here are the easy steps:
- Dice veggies. I recommend placing red pepper over a paper towel because they are very wet and will add too much extra moisture to the pinwheels.

- In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese and ranch dressing mix until well combined. Stir in diced green onions.

- Spread an even amount onto each tortilla, and then sprinkle diced veggies over the top.

- Roll each tortilla tightly and wrap them separately, tightly in aluminum foil.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Slice and serve chilled.

Tips for the Best Veggie Pinwheels
- Dice veggies small: You don’t want large chunks of veggies that will poke through the tortillas.
- Remove excess moisture from red pepper: I recommend placing red pepper over a paper towel because they are very wet and will add too much extra moisture to the pinwheels.
- Be sure to use Ranch dressing mix, not Ranch seasoning mix: There is a difference in taste, and I have made this mistake before!
- Customize to your liking: You can use this as base recipe and change any of the ingredients as you wish. You can add deli meats, swap the Ranch for garlic powder, make it spicy, or whatever you like!
- Don’t skip the chill time: You have to left the cream cheese soften really well to mix it and spread it successfully, and then you need to chill it to let it firm back up and to let the flavors meld together.
Storing Party Pinwheels
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 4-5 days in the refrigerator, though I do find they’re best the first couple of days before the tortilla starts to get a little soggy.
If not serving right away, you can also just store whole and don’t slice them yet.
