Green beans are my family’s vegetable of choice, so this mama has made a lot of green beans. My favorite way to make them is in the oven, so easy and customizable. Now I’m sharing my steps for making the perfect roasted green beans recipe.

Easy, Perfectly Cooked Green Beans in the Oven
There are so many reasons to love this green beans recipe. It’s not only easy, but you can use any seasoning you want, and you can double or triple it to make larger batches for meal prep.
I sometimes double the recipe using a large Costco bag of green beans, and then split them to do different seasonings for meal prep (so I don’t get bored with the seasoning when I’m eating these daily with lunch).

What You Need to Make Roasted Green Beans
Get the full recipe in the recipe card below. Here is a summary of what you’ll need:
- Fresh green beans
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Garlic powder, salt, and pepper (or use whatever seasoning you prefer!)

How to Make this Roasted Green Beans Recipe
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees (Fahrenheit).
- Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
- Wash green beans and trim off rough ends. Pat the green beans very dry (if they are still wet they’ll get soggy in the oven).

- In a large bowl or on the baking sheet, drizzle the olive oil and seasonings over the green beans and mix until all the green beans are coated (I prefer to do this with my hands to get them all coated well).
- Arrange the green beans in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Roast for 10-12 minutes or until a fork pierces through them easily.
