We used to live just off Marco Island, and as Naples residents, still use it as a sort of stay-cation destination. My husband, Chris, also used to work at one of the top Marco Island family resorts. While Marco Island is small, it’s the perfect place for a Florida family vacation. As a local, I have the inside scoop on all the best resorts on Marco Island and family activities that the whole family will love!

5 Best Marco Island Family Resorts

These kid-friendly Florida resorts all have a wide variety of amenities, access to the white-sand beaches of Marco Island, and convenient access to family-friendly activities in and around Marco Island.

Marco Beach Ocean Resort

Marco Beach Ocean Resort is at the top of my list for a couple of reasons. The first reason being that it offers “condos” with a beautiful ocean view, and basically everything else a family could need for their stay. The second reason being, my husband used to be the Food & Beverage Director at MBOR, so I know a thing or two about this place!

This resort offers beautiful one and two-bedroom suites with the option of garden or ocean views. Marco Beach Ocean Resort condos also offer full kitchens, private balconies, and king beds. With suites like these, you’ll feel right at home when it comes to comfort.

While staying at this luxurious resort, you have access to the fitness center and on-site restaurant. With just a short walk, you also have over 10 different restaurants to choose from. One thing that stands out about this hotel is the free valet parking and free wifi. The resort also provides beach chairs and umbrellas for your very short walk to the beach!

Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort

This resort offers a wide variety of guest rooms and suites. Whether you are traveling as a family of two or as a family of six, they can accommodate you. This resort also has the ability to give your family connecting rooms should you need that option. Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort has so many things to offer such as on-site restaurants, a fitness center, room service (pool and beach service), and a full service spa.

Within the hotel, they have a program called Hilton Hot Shots. This is a program full of activities just for kids. Families enjoy this so much as it provides something extra to their hotel experience for the children. Along with Hot Shotes, the resort also offers a wonderful on-site water sports vender. Having this vendor on property gives them the opportunity to provide parasailing, wave runner rentals, paddle board rentals and more. Hilton Macro Island Beach Resort is a full service resort that is extremely family friendly and has so much to offer.

JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort

The Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort sits upon 3 miles of beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico from Marco Island. If you’re hoping for a resort with a golf course, this one has two championship courses! They also offer fitness classes, family activities, a full-service spa, and a private balcony in all rooms. With 12 different restaurants on property, dining options won’t be an issue at all.

Now for the family fun! At 10K Alley, you’ll find a game room complete with a gaming arcade, mini-golf, bowling and other arcade classics.

Bring your competitive spirit to 10k Alley. This unique taproom brings together a gaming arcade with mini-golf, bowling, and popular arcade classics. Choose from over 40 craft beers and 65 barrel-aged bourbons while enjoying gastropub fare. Your family can also enjoy their outdoor pools, including a whirlpool.

Marriott’s Crystal Shores

Crystal Shores offers contemporary style villas on a beachfront property. Among the amenities to look forward here are a restaurant, hot tub, beach access, fitness center, free wifi, on-site convenience store, outdoor swimming pool, activities for kids, and of course beach access.

Marco Beach Vacation Suites

The Marco Beach Vacation Suites property offers one and two bedroom suites on the southwest edge of Marco Island. It is also home to the Sunset Grille, which is one of my husband’s favorite restaurants on Marco (try the crab cake sandwich!). The suites all feature a kitchen, separate living and dining areas and a screened-in lanai. The property also features an outdoor pool, free wi-fi, and easy access to the beach with its own private beach for guests.

Travel to Marco Island Family Resorts

If you’re coming from out of state, arrive in SWFL via Southwest Florida International Airport, then take I-75 all the way to exit 101. From there, it’s a straight drive down Collier Blvd/951 all the way to Marco Island.
